Based on your assumptions, you're on track to reach your Coast point at age 46 (year 2038), in 12 years. At that milestone, your portfolio would grow to $493,546—enough that you could stop contributing the $30,000 annually and still reach your FIRE number of $1,375,000 to support $55,000 in annual spending. If you keep saving through that Coast point, you'd hit full financial independence at age 51 (year 2043), in 17 years, when your balance reaches $1,489,471.

How it works

  1. 1. Enter your numbers. Age, target retirement age, current invested balance, annual contribution, the spending you want in retirement, and a few return assumptions (sensible defaults prefilled).
  2. 2. Pay $19. One Stripe checkout, no subscription. We run the projection immediately.
  3. 3. Get your report. A hosted page and a printable PDF with your FIRE number, Coast point, full-retirement date, year-by-year table, and returns band.

Your Coast point

The date your invested balance is large enough that, with zero further contributions, compound growth alone carries you to your FIRE number by your target age. The single number that tells you when saving becomes optional.

Your FIRE number & full-retirement date

Your target portfolio (spending net of other income, capitalised at your safe-withdrawal rate) and the year your balance is projected to reach it if you keep contributing.

Year-by-year schedule

A row per year — starting balance, contribution, growth, ending balance, and the coast threshold you'd need to hit at that age — so you can see exactly where the milestones land.

Returns-sensitivity band

The same projection re-run at conservative, base, and optimistic real returns, because the rate of return is the biggest unknown in any FIRE plan. Framed as assumptions — never a guaranteed outcome.

PDF + hosted page

A keepable PDF you can save or print, and a hosted page at your own link. Both delivered after one payment — no subscription, no account.

Computed, not guessed

Every dollar and date is produced by a deterministic engine from the numbers you enter. The written summary only describes those figures; it never invents them.

Common questions

What do I need to provide?

Your age, target retirement age, current invested balance, annual contribution, and the annual spending you want in retirement. A few assumptions (expected real return, contribution growth, safe withdrawal rate) come prefilled with common defaults that you can change. The free preview above shows your headline numbers before you pay anything.

Is this investment advice?

No. CoastPoint is a projection tool, not a financial adviser. Every figure is computed from the assumptions you enter — change the return rate and the dates move. We never recommend specific investments and never guarantee returns. Markets vary; treat the report as a planning checkpoint, not a promise.

What exactly is the “Coast point”?

It’s the moment your invested balance is big enough that, even if you stopped contributing entirely, compound growth alone would carry it to your FIRE number by your target retirement age. After that point, continued saving is optional — your retirement date is already covered by what you’ve banked.

How is the report delivered?

After checkout you land on a hosted page that shows your full report and a download button for the PDF. We also email you the link. There’s nothing to install and no account to manage.
